Our story
We were founded in 2004 to help business leaders leverage the full potential of their client relationships, so they were no longer putting out fires or finding themselves blindsided by revenue loss.
We are the leading provider of B2B Relationship Intelligence and uniquely possess over 20 years of benchmark data on client satisfaction across diverse industries. It’s not only our decades of experience and primary data repository that make us unique, it’s also our in-depth scoring system, The Relationship Rating (TRR). This gives a holistic view of customer satisfaction as the data goes deeper than the Net Promoter Score (NPS) method, providing real insight into the customer relationship.
We believe that effective relationship management is one of the most powerful yet underutilized strategies for achieving commercial stability and growth. By adopting a strategic approach to relationship management, we support businesses in leveraging these crucial connections to drive financial performance and growth.

The successful candidate will combine strong technical accounting expertise with a hands-on, improvement-focused approach and the confidence to partner effectively with stakeholders across the business.

Owning the month-end close process, including accurate management accounts, consolidations, cost reviews and board reporting.

- Maintain robust balance sheet reconciliations, internal controls and cash flow visibility across the business.
- Review and approve UK and US payroll monthly.
- Manage financial reporting, budgeting and reforecasting processes, streamlining where possible.
- Support the business with KPIs, reporting and performance insight.
- Act as a key finance contact for external stakeholders, including banks, auditors and financial advisers.
- Coordinate half-year and year-end reporting, external audit activity, statutory accounts preparation and tax filing obligations.
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, strengthen controls and increase efficiency.
- Support the ongoing development of Verity’s finance technology stack, with a focus on automation, scalability and security.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Qualified accountant, ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent, with proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a senior finance role.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including UK and/or international accounting standards.
- Experience delivering management accounts, reporting, reconciliations, audit support, payroll review and financial controls in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and numerical skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with finance systems, reporting tools and data.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- Track record of improving finance processes, strengthening controls and supporting scalable ways of working.
- Experience in a private equity-backed environment would be advantageous.
What You Bring
We are looking for someone who brings sound judgement, ownership and curiosity to the role. You will be comfortable getting into the detail, but also able to step back, simplify complexity and help others understand what the numbers mean.
- Calm, credible judgement, with the ability to create clarity in a busy, fast-moving environment.
- Commercial curiosity and a genuine interest in the drivers behind performance, not just the numbers themselves.
- Strong ownership and accountability, with the resilience to follow through and the flexibility to stay hands-on where needed.
- A collaborative style, able to build trust with colleagues across the business while bringing constructive challenge in the right way.
- A values-led approach, showing curiosity in how the business works, bravery in raising risks or improvements, pride in the quality of your work and humanity in how you support colleagues.
