Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and creative Senior Kitchen Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for design, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. This role involves creating innovative kitchen layouts, providing expert advice on materials and finishes, and ensuring customer satisfaction through personalised design solutions. The Senior Kitchen Designer will play a vital role in driving sales through upselling techniques and merchandising strategies, contributing to the overall success of our showroom.
Responsibilities
- Develop customised kitchen designs using CAD and SketchUp software, ensuring functional and aesthetic excellence.
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget constraints, offering professional guidance throughout the design process.
- Present design concepts clearly and confidently, highlighting features and benefits to encourage upselling opportunities.
- Organise and manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining detailed records of client interactions and design specifications.
- Assist in merchandising the showroom by selecting appropriate displays, materials, and colour schemes to attract customers.
- Communicate effectively in both English and Spanish to serve a diverse client base, ensuring clear understanding of design proposals.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, products, and new technologies relevant to kitchen design.
- Support sales efforts by providing accurate measurements, cost estimates, and technical advice to clients and sales staff.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Designer or similar role within the retail or interior design industry.
- Proficiency in SketchUp, CAD software, and other relevant design tools.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities such as Spanish are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated aptitude for upselling techniques and effective merchandising strategies.
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements, calculations, and cost estimations.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on customer service excellence.
Pay: £24,420.00-£49,363.34 per year
