RPE Southern Sales Technical Specialist
About Our Company
SMH Products is a leading expert in decontamination and personal protective products operating across 8 UK depots and a Head Office in the North East.
We are expanding our growing Respiratory Protection Equipment (RPE) division and are looking for a driven specialist to champion our RPE products and services across the South.
The Role
As an unbiased distributor for top manufacturers, you will be responsible for targeting end users, promoting our unparalleled RPE product, maintenance and services. This role focuses on covering the South of the country from the M62 down, actively visiting all regional depots and customer sites. You will drive sales from your own initiatives, converting internal existing leads generated alongside leads generated from our website and socials, and serve as the technical go-to for our regional RPE teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive Sales: Increase sales and profitability within the RPE Division by identifying new opportunities, presenting to businesses and converting leads
- Technical Expertise: Master our supplier product portfolio to act as the hands-on expert in selling, technical advice and repair
- Market & Legislation: Stay updated on current legislation to target markets quickly, gather market intelligence, and represent the company at safety events
- Team & Marketing Support: Train and upskill the regional staff, and work closely with the division lead on marketing campaigns
- Vendor & Admin Management: Build strong relationships with vendors, working with our central Buyer, and track all division activities on the CRM system

- Technical Ability: A willingness to learn new hands-on skills, adapt to data driven tools and use CRM software (training provided)

- Logistics: Flexibility to travel extensively across the UK, spend evenings away and work hands on customer sites and in regional depots when required.
