Duties
- Ensure all kitchen areas are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, including floors, work surfaces, utensils, and equipment
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware efficiently to maintain a steady workflow
- Restock supplies such as cutlery, crockery, ingredients, and cleaning materials to support smooth kitchen operations
- Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure recycling procedures are followed diligently
- Support the setup and breakdown of service stations before and after meal periods
- Maintain health and safety standards by adhering to hygiene regulations and reporting any hazards promptly
Requirements
- Prior experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is highly desirable but not essential; enthusiasm to learn is key
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks such as lifting and bending
