Job Purpose
We have an exciting opportunity in our Escapade Team for a Maintenance Supervisor. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that our venue and facilities operate seamlessly at the highest standards of performance and presentation. Working with the Facilities and Estates Team, you will supervise day-to-day maintenance activity, support the delivery of preventative maintenance programmes, and respond quickly and effectively to reactive maintenance requirements.
You will take a proactive approach to identifying issues before they impact our guests or operations, ensuring Escapade remains fully functional, impeccably presented and aligned with our commitment to exceptional standards.

General Maintenance & Repairs:
- Carry out a broad range of general building maintenance and repairs, including carpentry, joinery, plumbing, ceiling repairs, re-lamping, carpet and flooring repairs, tiling and furniture adjustments.
- Undertake minor painting, decorating and general upkeep as required.
- Diagnose and resolve faults across mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and other building systems, within the scope of your competence and relevant qualifications.
- Respond promptly and effectively to reactive maintenance requests, emergencies and guest related maintenance issues, minimising disruption to the operation.
- Assist with the coordination and supervision of external contractors, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
- Identify recurring faults and opportunities for improvement, escalating recommendations to the Maintenance Manager.
Facilities Operations & Compliance:
- Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the Facilities & Estates team, ensuring maintenance tasks are prioritised, completed efficiently and to a consistently high standard.
- Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to maintain the venue, accommodation and facilities to the standards expected by our guests, colleagues and brand.
- Support the implementation and delivery of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes.
- Carry out regular inspections of guest accommodation, public areas, back-of-house spaces
and site infrastructure, identifying defects, maintenance requirements and opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct daily site walks to ensure the site remains safe, clean, tidy and well presented.
- Identify and promptly address or escalate issues relating to rubbish, debris, waste, damage or general presentation.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, defects, works completed and actions outstanding
to support reporting, audit and continuous improvement.
- Support regular compliance checks across building systems and safety-critical infrastructure, ensuring statutory and internal requirements are met.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with relevant health and safety legislation, risk assessments, method statements and company procedures.
- Liaise closely with Housekeeping, Front Office, Food & Beverage and other operational teams to plan and coordinate maintenance activity around guest requirements and business priorities.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs and reports through the property’s maintenance management system.
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to support maintenance, repair and improvement projects.
- Support the Maintenance Manager in monitoring contractor performance, quality of work and compliance with site requirements.
- Train, coach and support maintenance team members, promoting high standards, teamwork and continuous development.
Promote and actively support Escapade Silverstone’s sustainability initiatives, identifying opportunities to reduce waste, energy consumption and environmental impact.

- Provide professional, friendly, and responsive service to guests, promptly addressing their requests and concerns.
- Maintain a professional demeanour in all interactions, ensuring a seamless guest experience.
- Work discreetly and efficiently when carrying out maintenance in guest-facing areas.
Sustainability:
- Actively promote and support Escapade Silverstone’s sustainability strategy and initiatives.
- Adopt responsible working practices that minimise waste, energy consumption and environmental impact.
Additional ad-hoc responsibilities will arise which will be considered to form a reasonable part of the role and role requirements may be subject to change from time to time.

Proven experience in building services, engineering or hospitality maintenance environment.
- Strong practical knowledge of general building maintenance and repairs.
- Demonstrable technical skills in areas such as carpentry, joinery, plumbing and general building works.
- Experience of diagnosing and resolving maintenance issues across a range of building systems.
- Understanding of planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance processes.
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements and safe working practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess issues, identify solutions and act decisively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise workloads effectively and remain calm and organised under pressure.
- Ability to work independently while also providing effective support and leadership to the wider maintenance team.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship and presentation.
- Proactive, hands-on and solutions-focused approach, with a genuine passion for delivering excellence.
- Experience within a 4-star or 5-star hotel, luxury hospitality or premium lifestyle environment is advantageous.
- Comfortable using IT systems and Microsoft Office, with experience using a maintenance management system desirable.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends and event periods, reflecting the operational demands of a live hospitality and motorsport destination.
- A full, clean UK driving licence is desirable.
- Relevant trade, engineering or facilities qualifications are advantageous.
