We are recruiting a Head Chef for a thriving inn in the heart of the Lake District, offering an exciting opportunity to lead a busy fresh food kitchen.

As Head Chef, you will oversee all aspects of the kitchen operation, leading from the front while maintaining high culinary standards, developing your team, and ensuring every guest enjoys an exceptional dining experience.
As Head Chef you will:
- Lead, motivate, and develop the kitchen brigade
- Oversee all day-to-day kitchen operations
- Produce high-quality, fresh food using seasonal ingredients
- Manage stock, ordering, GP, and food costs
- Ensure the highest standards of food hygiene and health & safety
- Recruit, train, and mentor junior chefs
- Work closely with senior management to continually develop the food offering and kitchen performance
The ideal candidate will have a strong fresh food background, proven leadership experience, and the ability to inspire a busy kitchen team while maintaining excellent standards under pressure.
You will be organised, passionate, and commercially aware, with a genuine commitment to producing consistently excellent food and creating a positive kitchen culture.
