The Opportunity
As a Prison Group Facilitator within the Acorn Prison Service team in HMP Manchester, you will work closely with its residents offering a variety of interventions to support their recovery journey to ‘a life worth living’. Your role will involve delivering groups, completing assessments and completing the relevant admin. This is a really exciting and rewarding role where you’ll be able to positively impact people’s future, improving their prospects and their quality of life.
As a Prison Group Facilitator you will need to be able to competently deliver Acorn Interventions to the residents in the prisons and comply with both Acorn and Prison Service policies and procedures.
Your hours of work would be 37.5 hours per week from Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 3:30pm.

- The ability to engage with challenging individuals and build trusting relationships – patience and resilience will be key!
- A passion for supporting people, providing exceptional care
- A flexible and innovative approach to service delivery
- Experience of group delivery
- Have or working towards NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care
