Are you passionate about making a real difference for people affected by sight loss?
RNIB is looking for a Community Access Worker to support blind and partially sighted people across Belfast. This varied and rewarding role involves managing referrals, carrying out home visits, developing peer support networks, raising awareness within local communities and delivering Sight Loss Awareness Training.
You'll work directly with individuals to identify their needs and connect them with the right support, helping to reduce isolation and build confidence, independence and wellbeing.
We're looking for someone with:
- A good understanding of sight loss and its impact on daily life
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience building relationships with volunteers, community groups and partner organisations
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy caseload
- Confidence delivering training and presentations
- The ability to travel across the Greater Belfast area
