Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in their own homes. This role involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and promoting independence. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support clients with mobility and transfer assistance as needed
- Help with household chores including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
- Administer medication in accordance with care plans and instructions
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Follow individualised care plans to meet each client’s specific needs
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns or changes in condition to supervisors
- Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities when required
Skills
- Valid driving licence and ability to drive clients safely to appointments or activities
- Experience working within a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided
- Ability to understand and follow detailed care plans tailored to each individual’s needs
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Good IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
- Organised, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ wellbeing
Pay: £13.45-£13.80 per hour
