We're recruiting an experienced Catering Assistant who is passionate about exceptional food and friendly customer service and would appreciate working in a busy seafront Café in a beautiful area. Ocean Lab Café is part of a busy Visitor Centre run by Sea Trust Wales Charity.
This will be a permanent position throughout the year. You must be able to work a minimum of 3 days a week and your days of work will include weekend days.
As part of your role you will working closely with our Café Manager and be responsible for ensuring our kitchen and front of house counter run smoothly, place stock orders, manage food stock, keep food hygiene records updated, maintaining a clean and organised workspace and cash up at the end of the day.
Essential Skills: You must have a Food Hygiene L2 certificate and a minimum of 1yr kitchen experience. You must be able to slot into barista and cooking roles as and when required and generally show initiative to keep the wheels spinning. Good time management and excellent customer service skills are essential as well as observing high levels of hygiene.
Desired Skills: being a good team worker and attention to detail would be an advantage as well as being able to remain calm and efficient under pressure during busy periods.
We would welcome staff members who get creative with recipes and have active input on our menu options.
