Duties
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team, fostering a positive and efficient working environment
- Oversee food production, ensuring consistency and high standards across all dishes
- Manage food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining quality control at all times
- Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards within the kitchen
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control to minimise waste
- Train and mentor junior staff, promoting professional development and team management skills
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain a proactive approach to health and safety procedures within the kitchen environment
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen setting, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality environment
- Extensive food production and culinary experience, demonstrating proficiency in various cooking techniques
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team effectively
- Solid background in food safety practices and compliance with relevant regulations
- Previous restaurant experience is essential; serving experience is considered an advantage
- Knowledge of hospitality operations and customer service principles is desirable

Pay: £27,431.76-£49,085.21 per year
