Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our childcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging age-appropriate activities that support children's developmental milestones
- Supervise and care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Foster a nurturing environment that promotes learning through play and exploration
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive team approach to childcare
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and daily experiences
- Ensure the nursery complies with all health and safety regulations
- Assist in organising nursery routines, including meal times, nap times, and outdoor play
- Support new staff members through mentoring and leadership when required
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood setting
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare standards
- Strong management and leadership skills to guide team members effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Childcare qualifications recognised by relevant authorities (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Childcare) a
- Valid driving licence is desirable
