We are looking for an experienced, highly organised, client-focused Project Manager to join our translation and interpreting team.
Key Responsibilities
- Project manage translation, proofreading, editing, MTPE (machine translation proofreading editing), interpreting, transcription, graphic designing and related language-service projects.
- Receive and analyse client requirements and establish project scope, timelines and resources, prepare quotations and coordinate project schedules.
- Assign and coordinate with linguists and other professionals based on language, subject expertise and other requirements.
- Liaise with clients to clarify requirements, incorporate feedback & resolve issues and provide regular project updates.
- Monitor project progress, conduct quality checks / internal review, identify potential project risks and implement corrective actions promptly, track deadlines and budgets.
- Keep a track on each project progress, resource allocation, maintain linguist database & vendor management and performance records.
- Manage urgent and high-volume assignments while maintaining service quality and turnaround times.
- Coordinate with finance and administration teams on purchase orders, invoicing and project closure.
- Maintain confidentiality, ensure compliance with data-protection and appropriate handling of client information and materials.
- Support business development activities, including preparation of proposals, EOIs, RFQs, RFPs and tenders.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Translation, Languages, Linguistics, Business Administration, Project Management or a related field.
- 3 years’ experience in project management within a translation, interpreting or language-services agency.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; additional language skills are an advantage, proficiency in Microsoft Office (CAT-tool platforms is an advantage).
