Ormiston NEW Academy have a brand-new SEND resource base for students with Speech, Language and Communication Needs. The base caters for students ages 11 - 16 who have, or who are on the pathway for, an Education Health and Care plan with a specific need in communication and interaction. The resource base provides a nurturing and safe space that allows our young people to embrace who they are and learn to express themselves with confidence and passion. We are seeking a highly motivated, outstanding teacher to join the team and to support and lead our students on their secondary school journey.

About the Academy
Ormiston NEW Academy caters for 11 to 19-year olds, with 1,088 students on roll. We provide a vibrant learning environment with first-class facilities, and we have been graded Ofsted 'Good'. We are a school based on a clear and defined pedagogical model and explicitly taught behavioural norms. This is creating a place of joy, industry and excellence that is rapidly growing. The latest inspection report praises the school’s leaders for creating a "culture where positive behaviour and discipline are celebrated". It says that NEW Academy is a “vibrant school”, that students “enjoy coming to” and where they are “safe”. Students at NEW Academy understand that they must try their best and always strive for excellence. During most recent Ofsted inspection one student told inspectors, “I know that today will not be my best, because tomorrow will be better”.
