Nursery Lunch Cover | Permanent, Year-Round Role
Salary: £12.71 per hour
Opening Hours: 7am to 7pm, Mon–Fri
Location: Hertfordshire (SG6)

Shifts: 4 hours per day, 5 days per week, 11:30 - 15:30 or 12:00 - 16:00
Key Responsibilities
- Mealtime supervision — oversee safe eating and support children as needed.
- Hygiene routines — manage handwashing and keep tables and eating areas clean.
- Child wellbeing — monitor behaviour, encourage positive interaction, and respond to needs.
- Smooth transitions — guide children calmly from lunch to their next activity.
What You Need
- Level 2+ Early Years qualification (DfE‑approved) ideal but not required
- Childcare experience — prior experience working with young children in group settings.
- Safeguarding knowledge — understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Food safety awareness — familiarity with safe food handling and hygiene practices.
- Communication skills — ability to communicate clearly with children and staff.
