About the Role
Mottingham Pharmacy is a friendly, busy community pharmacy providing essential medication and healthcare services to patients throughout the local area.
We are looking for a friendly, reliable and caring Delivery Driver to join our pharmacy team. You will work closely with the pharmacist and dispensary team to deliver prescription medication safely to patients at their home addresses using the company van.
This is an important patient-facing position. For many patients, particularly those who are elderly, unwell or housebound, our delivery driver is a familiar and valued member of the pharmacy team.
Main Duties
- Deliver prescription medication safely to patients’ homes.
- Use the company van and follow the delivery route provided.
- Ensure each delivery reaches the correct address and recipient.
- Obtain signatures or complete delivery records when required.
- Return any undelivered medication safely to the pharmacy.
- Communicate politely and professionally with patients.
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Keep the company vehicle clean and presentable.
- Report any vehicle or delivery concerns promptly.
- Work closely with the pharmacist and dispensary team.
- Assist with other straightforward pharmacy duties when required.
About You
The successful applicant should be:

- Reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
- A safe and responsible driver.
- Patient and considerate when helping elderly or vulnerable patients.
- Able to communicate clearly with patients and colleagues.
- Organised and capable of managing several deliveries efficiently.
- Comfortable working independently while remaining part of the pharmacy team.
- Familiar with the local area or confident using satellite navigation.
- Careful when handling medication and confidential information.
Previous delivery-driving experience would be helpful but is not essential, as full guidance and training will be provided.
Applicants must hold a full, valid UK driving licence and be legally entitled to drive the company vehicle.
