Northpoint is a well-established UK specialist in professional powder coating and anti-corrosion solutions, supporting customers across a wide range of industries.
Established in 1976 and based in Dukinfield, Northpoint has built a strong reputation for quality, technical expertise and customer service. As an Employee Ownership Trust organisation, our employees have a real connection to the continued success and development of the business.
We are now looking for an experienced Quality Manager to join the team and take a leading role in maintaining and developing our quality standards across the organisation.
This is a hands-on Quality Manager position with significant responsibility for ensuring our products, processes and systems continue to meet high standards of quality, compliance and operational integrity.
You will provide oversight of the organisation’s ISO 9001 Quality Management System, while working closely with the HSQE Manager to support our continued development and future accreditation activity.
This is not a role that will sit behind a desk. You will have a strong presence across the production environment, working closely with Quality Inspectors and production teams to identify issues, improve processes and embed a positive approach to quality throughout the business.
Oversee day-to-day quality performance across operational areas and production lines.
Lead and continually improve the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
Work with the HSQE Manager to support ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 accreditation.
Lead internal audits, non-conformance management, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Monitor quality KPIs and use data to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
Drive continuous improvement and support production teams in maintaining strong quality standards.
Manage customer quality concerns, NCRs and supplier-related quality issues.
You will ideally have:
Significant quality experience within a manufacturing environment.
Experience within coatings, paints, powder coating or a similar surface treatment environment.
Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, with exposure to ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 advantageous.
Experience of audits, non-conformances, root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
Strong communication skills with the confidence to influence and work effectively at all levels.
A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to maintain a visible presence on the shop floor.
You will be someone who genuinely cares about quality and takes pride in finding better ways of working.
You will be comfortable challenging existing processes where improvements can be made, while also bringing people with you and helping teams understand the reasons behind quality standards and procedures.
This role would suit an experienced quality professional looking for the opportunity to have a real influence within an established manufacturing business.
Salary of £45,000–£50,000
24 days’ holiday
3% employer pension contribution
Death in Service benefit of three times salary
EOT bonus paid twice a year following the qualifying period
A permanent senior role with the opportunity to shape quality standards and drive meaningful improvements.
A supportive, collaborative environment where your impact will be visible.
If you are an experienced quality professional with a strong manufacturing background and are looking for a role where you can make a genuine impact, we would love to hear from you.
Please apply by submitting your CV, outlining your relevant experience and what you could bring to the role.
