We’re looking for a Cafe Chef to work in our kitchen team at The Lemon tree, a busy café known for its warm atmosphere, exceptional food, and great coffee. The job offers sociable hours giving you the leisure of work life balance.
As a Chef, you’ll be at the heart of our café, managing and running day-to-day kitchen operations, and inspiring the team to deliver consistently high-quality food.
What You’ll Do
- Assist the kitchen team to deliver outstanding dishes.
- Supporting in creating exciting, seasonal menus with a focus on fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
- Manage stock, orders, and cost control to achieve budget targets.
- Train, mentor, and motivate junior kitchen staff.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety and food hygiene regulations.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Chef or Sous Chef in a similar environment.
- Strong organisational skills.
- A passion for fresh, wholesome food and an eye for detail.
- Knowledge of current food trends and café-style cuisine.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Nice to have Food hygiene and safety certification (Level 2 or above).

Pay: £13.50-£14.00 per hour
