If so, Epic Partners is looking for an Alternative Provision Manager to oversee and enhance our AP services.
About the Role
As an Alternative Provision Manager, you will be responsible for leading, managing and delivering the development and delivery of our AP programmes. You will ensure high-quality provision that supports children and young people facing behavioural, emotional, and complex needs, helping them to thrive through sport, activity-based learning, and personal development initiatives. You will manage staff, build relationships with key stakeholders, and ensure compliance with safeguarding and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and oversee the strategic direction and operational management of Alternative Provision.
- Deliver on lessons and sessions in the Alterative Provision.
- Manage a team of staff, including mentors, coaches, and volunteers, ensuring they are trained, supported, and motivated.
- Design, implement, and evaluate structured programmes to support behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and personal development.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, local authorities, families, and other agencies to enhance provision and referrals.
- Ensure the provision meets safeguarding and health & safety requirements, maintaining accurate records and reporting where necessary.
- Monitor and evaluate programme effectiveness, making improvements based on feedback and best practice.
- Oversee budget management for AP programmes, ensuring cost-effective delivery while maintaining quality.
- Represent Epic Partners at relevant meetings, conferences, and networking events to promote the provision and build partnerships.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase engagement, participation, and retention of young people.
- Support funding applications and reporting to secure financial sustainability of the provision.

Experience & Knowledge
- Proven experience managing Alternative Provision, youth engagement programmes, or similar initiatives.
- Experience working with children and young people with complex needs, including behavioural challenges and SEND.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.
- Understanding of issues faced by children in disadvantaged communities.
- Experience in budget management, monitoring outcomes, and reporting impact.
