Electrician – Norwich
Contract Rate: £240 per day CIS (subcontract)
Location: Norwich and surrounding areas
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (30-minute unpaid lunch break)
Contract: Temporary to Permanent opportunity
Vehicle Requirement: Own van and tools required for the first 13 weeks
Paragon Resource Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established maintenance provider for an experienced Electrician to join their Electrical Department, working on a busy domestic housing contract throughout Norwich and the surrounding areas.
The role will primarily focus on kitchen and bathroom refurbishment programmes within social housing properties, completing high-quality electrical works as part of planned improvement works.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrician to secure long-term subcontract work, with the potential to move into a permanent PAYE position after the initial 13-week period.
The Role
You will be responsible for carrying out a range of domestic electrical works, including:
- Electrical installations as part of kitchen and bathroom refurbishment programmes
- Electrical upgrades, alterations and rewires where required
- Installation and replacement of electrical accessories
- Fault finding and remedial works
- Testing, inspection and certification
- General domestic electrical repairs
- Ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently and in line with current regulations
- Working within occupied domestic properties while maintaining excellent customer service
Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
- Qualified Electrician status (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
- Experience working on domestic properties
- Experience with kitchen and bathroom refurbishment projects (desirable)
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience completing electrical testing and certification
- Full UK driving licence
- Own van and tools required for the initial 13-week CIS period
- A professional approach with excellent communication skills
