Job Overview
To ensure that clients attending the Day Centre are safely transported to and from their homes. To be responsible for ensuring that clients attending the centre are comfortable when they reach home and that clients living alone can be left safely.
Duties
- Safely drive the mini bus along designated routes, adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
- To report immediately to the centre manager any concerns regarding a client.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and functionality.
- Maintain mini bus fuel and water levels.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the mini bus interior and exterior.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, especially those with mobility challenges.
- Handle any passenger inquiries or concerns in a professional manner.
- Maintain health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Valid driving licence with appropriate endorsements for mini bus operation.
- Previous experience as a van driver or delivery driver is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English, both spoken and written.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe driving record and adhering to all safety protocols.
- Knowledge of West Lothian is desired.

Experience:
- Driving: 3 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
