Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Nurse/Receptionist to join our friendly dental practice. Responsibilities
- Assisting dentist/hygienist during procedures and providing patient care with compassion and professionalism
- Managing patient appointments, scheduling, and maintaining accurate records using IT systems
- Greeting patients warmly upon arrival and ensuring they feel comfortable throughout their visit
- Handling telephone enquiries, confirming appointments, and providing relevant information to patients
- Maintaining a clean and organised clinical environment in compliance with health and safety standards
- Supporting administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence
- Ensuring all patient details are kept confidential and securely stored
- Assisting with stock control and ensuring clinical supplies are well-stocked
Requirements
- Proven experience or interest in patient care, nursing, or healthcare administration is desirable
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment
- Good IT skills, including familiarity with dental practice management software or similar systems
- Ability to work well within a team and demonstrate professionalism at all times
- Knowledge of dental procedures and infection control protocols is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided if necessary
- A caring attitude with a focus on delivering exceptional patient service
