Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse and reverse engineer PL/1 applications to understand and document how they work.
- Map application workflows, program calls, interfaces, and data dependencies.Support the migration from Datacom (Broadcom) to VSAM by identifying impacts and required code changes.
- Produce clear technical documentation and specifications to support development and testing.
- Work closely with developers, testers, architects, and business stakeholders to validate solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within legacy PL/1 applications.
- Provide guidance to ensure business processes are fully tested and protected throughout the migration.
- Share knowledge and insights to help build a strong understanding of the application's design and behaviour.
