About the Role:

We provide professional guidance to international students exploring study opportunities in the UK, helping them make informed decisions about universities, courses, applications, and academic planning.
We are looking for a Senior Student Counsellor (International Education) who can take ownership of the student advisory journey. This role is not just about answering enquiries; it is about building trust, understanding each student’s goals, and providing expert guidance throughout their education journey.
You will be a key member of our student services team, supporting applicants from initial consultation through application completion. You will combine strong counselling skills with knowledge of UK higher education to deliver a personalised and professional experience for students and families.

Key Responsibilities:
Student Counselling: Conduct one-to-one consultations with students to understand their academic background, career goals, and study preferences.
Education Guidance: Provide accurate advice on UK universities, courses, entry requirements, application procedures, and study pathways.
Application Support: Guide students through university applications, documentation preparation, deadlines, and admissions communication.
Student Relationship Management: Maintain regular communication with students and families through phone, email, and meetings.
Admissions Coordination: Work closely with education partners and internal teams to support successful student applications.
Student Records: Maintain accurate student information using internal systems and ensure all interactions are properly documented.
Information Sessions: Support student seminars, university events, and education workshops.
Team Development: Share knowledge, support junior counsellors, and contribute ideas to improve student service processes.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience: 3+ years of experience in student counselling, education consultancy, admissions advising, international student support, or a related field.
Education Knowledge: Strong understanding of UK higher education institutions, university admissions processes, and international student requirements.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build trust with students from diverse backgrounds.
Organisation: Ability to manage multiple student cases, deadlines, and application processes while maintaining attention to detail.
Student Focus: A genuine interest in helping students achieve their education goals through personalised guidance.
Technology Skills: Comfortable using CRM systems, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and digital communication platforms.
Language Skills: Strong English communication skills required. Additional languages are an advantage when supporting international students.
Mindset: You are approachable, organised, and proactive. You understand that successful student counselling requires both professional expertise and genuine care for each student’s journey.
Pay: £25,420.00-£32,000.00 per year
