Bakery Assistant (up to 42.5 hours per week) - Levens Bakery
This role would be ideal for someone who would like to begin a career in baking as the role will give you hands on experience with our bakery team whilst maintaining a clean and tidy working environment. We are therefore looking for someone to maintain high standards of cleanliness within the Bakery to assist the Bakery team.
Levens Kitchen is an award-winning, daytime eatery. The menu is seasonally driven with an emphasis on fresh ingredients and local produce. We offer brunch & lunch service along with drinks & cakes. Levens Bakery produces a delicious range of freshly baked bread, cakes, pastries, savoury snacks for the bakery & restaurant.
We are open 7 days a week, throughout the year.
As a Bakery Assistant, you will report directly to the Bakery team and Head chef. The ideal person will have a willingness to learn
You will
- Assist in the day-to-day Cleaning of the bakery
- Maintain a clean working environment
- Assist the bakers in scaling and shaping doughs as required
- Have plenty of commitment and a genuine passion to learn to bake.
- Be able to prioritise well, especially on busy shifts and not be afraid to get your hands dirty
- Be a team player with great communication, time-keeping & organisational skills
- Be flexible in working weekends and holidays
