We have a vacancy for a Sourdough Baker to come join our small team. Shift start time is 2:30, with shift duration anywhere between 6 to 8/10 hours. Previous experience of working with sourdough preferred however full training and guidance will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of bread, pastries, and other baked goods according to recipes
- Decorate and present baked goods in an appealing manner
- Monitor oven temperatures and adjust baking times as necessary
- Ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a baker in a restaurant or catering setting
- Knowledge of baking techniques and recipes
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Flexibility to work very early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
