Summary
We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join our expert team at Prestige German Cars Limited in GB. This role is vital in ensuring our customers' high-performance German vehicles are maintained to the highest standards and dealer specification.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose vehicle faults using authorised dealer equipment (BMW ISTA, VAG ODIS, Mercedes Xentry, etc.)
- Perform mechanical and electrical repairs, servicing, and safety checks
- Engine and gearbox repairs.
- Use hand tools & power tools to carry out repairs efficiently.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues.
- Assist with vehicle assembly and component replacements.
- Maintain detailed service records for each vehicle.
- Conduct road tests to verify repairs and ensure quality workmanship
- Work on hybrid and electric vehicles, including high-voltage systems
- Accurately document all work carried out and update online service records
- Maintain a clean, organised, and health & safety compliant workspace
- Communicate technical issues clearly with the workshop manager
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role within a dealership or independent garage.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of German vehicle systems.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools
- Skilled in using hand tools and power tools
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Relevant certifications such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent are preferred.
