Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload shipments using appropriate equipment such as forklifts and manual handling techniques
- Manage stock levels through accurate picking, packing, stocking, and inventory control procedures
- Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records in real-time
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet safety and quality standards before dispatch or storage
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks by verifying shipment details, preparing labels, and organizing packages for dispatch
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency throughout the warehouse
- Perform routine mechanical maintenance on equipment and report any malfunctions promptly
Skills
- Proven experience in materials handling, shipping & receiving, and warehouse operations
- Proficiency with forklift operation and certification preferred but not required
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking and order processing
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting, load & unload activities, and prolonged standing or walking
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic equipment issues and perform routine maintenance
- Attention to detail for quality control checks and accurate order picking & packing
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
