£35,000+ realistic OTE | Monday to Friday | Alternate Saturday mornings | No Sundays
Dexel Tyre & Auto Centre is looking for an experienced Tyre Fitter / Fast-Fit Technician to join our friendly team in Worksop.
This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who is confident fitting tyres and carrying out fast-fit mechanical work, including brakes, steering and suspension repairs, and routine vehicle servicing.
Pay and working hours
- £35,000+ per year OTE, including our performance-related bonus scheme.
- This is a realistic OTE figure, based on the lowest current earnings among technicians at the Worksop branch, not the highest.
- Average of 43.25 hours per week.
- Monday to Friday, with alternate Saturday mornings.
- No Sunday working.
The role
As a Tyre Fitter, you will be responsible for fitting and repairing car, van, and 4x4 tyres, fitting TPMS equipment, and performing wheel alignments.
As a Fast-Fit Technician, you would have further responsibilities for fitting fast-fit mechanical components (brakes, steering and suspension components) and basic servicing for all types of light vehicles in a busy independent automotive repair workshop.
You should have:
- Previous practical experience in a fast-fit, tyre-fitting or vehicle repair workshop.
- The ability to work reliably as part of a busy workshop team.
- A strong work ethic and pride in the quality of your work.
- A willingness to follow workshop procedures and health and safety requirements.
- A positive attitude and willingness to continue learning.
It would be an advantage if you also have:
- A Level 2 IMI, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Three or more years of relevant workshop experience.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Your own set of basic tools suitable for the role.
The IDEAL Candidate would have:
- A level 2 IMI / City & Guild or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- 3 or more years of experience working in an automotive repair workshop.
- A full UK Driving Licence
- His / her own a set of basic tools suitable for the work being performed.
