The Role
Salary dependant on experience and qualifications - a working knowledge of accounts procedures is essential.
We are looking for a proficient Accounts & Payroll Clerk to join our finance team on a full-time basis. This is a hands-on role where your expertise in Sage 50 Accounts and Sage Payroll will be essential. You'll play a key part in ensuring our accounts are accurate, our payroll runs smoothly, and our financial processes remain compliant.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete bank reconciliations and cash clow charts.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and other HMRC submissions.
- Manage accounts payable functions, including processing invoices and reconciling payments
- Process month-end procedures, including producing Profit & Loss reports efficiently
- Process the monthly payroll and maintain employee records.
- Post monthly journals and maintain accurate financial records.
What We're Looking For
- Proficiency in Sage 50 Accounts and Sage Payroll (essential).
- Solid understanding of VAT submissions and HMRC requirements.
- Experience in payroll processing and month-end reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small, supportive team.
- A knowledge of HR is preferable but not essential.
