We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of vehicles to identify issues using schematics and technical manuals
- Perform repairs and maintenance on vehicles, including engine work, brake systems, suspension, and electrical components
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out assembly, disassembly, and repair tasks
- Interpret technical drawings and schematics to accurately diagnose problems
- Carry out welding and equipment repair as required to restore vehicle functionality
- Assist with vehicle assembly and modifications as needed
- Perform heavy lifting of parts and components safely during repairs or replacements
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used for each vehicle
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly
Experience
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or in a similar automotive repair role
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical manuals
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Experience in vehicle assembly, maintenance, and equipment repair
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems and diagnostics is desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Prior experience working in a customer-focused environment is advantageous
