TDG Services Limited covers, Sussex, Sureey, Kent and Greater London, we provide property maintenance and support services to commercial customers, managing agents, landlords and organisations responsible for communal and residential-style properties.
Our work includes general property maintenance, pressure washing, gutter clearing, gardening, rubbish removal, litter picking, communal area tidy-ups and general handyman services.
We are looking for a reliable and practical *Multi-Skilled Property Maintenance Technician* to join our growing team. This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who takes pride in their work, can use their own initiative and is comfortable carrying out different types of maintenance work at multiple customer locations.
The role
You will attend a range of commercial, communal and residential-style properties to complete planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
No two days will necessarily be the same. One day may involve pressure washing a communal area or clearing gutters, while another may involve gardening, removing waste, repairing a fence, carrying out minor handyman work or completing a general property tidy-up.
You will be expected to work safely, professionally and respectfully while representing TDG Services Limited on customer sites.
Key responsibilities
* Carrying out general property maintenance and minor repairs.
* Completing basic handyman tasks at commercial and communal properties.
* Pressure washing paths, bin stores, courtyards, walls and external areas.
* Clearing gutters and accessible rainwater systems.
* Carrying out gardening and basic grounds maintenance.
* Grass cutting, hedge trimming, weeding and general garden tidy-ups.
* Removing rubbish, unwanted items and general waste from properties.
* Litter picking and cleaning external communal areas.
* Cleaning and tidying bin stores and waste collection areas.
* Completing communal building and estate tidy-ups.
* Repairing or replacing minor items such as handles, locks, fixtures, fittings and damaged timber.
* Carrying out basic painting, decorating and making-good work.
* Completing minor fence, gate and external property repairs.
* Identifying additional maintenance issues and reporting them to the office.
* Taking clear before-and-after photographs of completed work.
* Updating job records, notes and photographs using the company’s job management system.
* Ensuring tools, equipment and company vehicles are kept clean, secure and in good condition.
* Following company health and safety procedures at all times.
* Using ladders, pressure washers, gardening equipment, hand tools and power tools safely.
* Communicating professionally with customers, residents, site staff and property managers.
* Working independently while keeping the office informed of progress or any problems.
* Assisting other team members with larger jobs when required.

* Honest about tasks that are outside their experience or competence.
Essential requirements
* Previous experience in property maintenance, handyman work, grounds maintenance, facilities services or a similar practical role.
* A full UK driving licence.
* Experience using basic hand tools and power tools.
* Good spoken and written English.
* A professional and customer-focused attitude.
* The ability to work without constant supervision.
* An understanding of basic workplace health and safety.
* The right to work in the UK.
Desirable experience
The following would be helpful but is not essential:
* Pressure washing experience.
* Gutter clearing experience.
* Gardening or grounds maintenance experience.
* Basic carpentry or joinery skills.
* Basic painting and decorating experience.
* Minor plumbing or drainage experience.
* Experience working for managing agents, housing providers or facilities-management companies.
* Experience working in communal residential buildings.
* Experience using ladders or working at low level height.
* Manual handling or working-at-height training.
* A current DBS check.
* Waste handling or waste transfer experience.
Specialist electrical, gas or major plumbing qualifications are not required for this role. Any work requiring specialist qualifications will be passed to an appropriately qualified contractor.

Working arrangements
The role will involve travelling between customer sites, so a full UK driving licence is essential.
Most work will be planned in advance, although you may occasionally be asked to attend urgent or reactive maintenance jobs. Some jobs may involve working outdoors, handling waste, using ladders, working in communal areas or completing physically demanding tasks.
You must be comfortable working around residents, customers and members of the public while maintaining a professional and respectful approach.
