Knights Garden Centres are seeking, due to retirement, a commercially minded and hands-on Office Manager to join our team at Woldingham. Reporting to the owners, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality financial reporting, supporting commercial decision-making, payroll processes, carrying our accurate bank reconciliations and ensuring strong financial controls across the business.
Key Responsibilities
SAGE 50 Accounts
- Preparing Final Annual Accounts to trial balance for Partnership.
- Preparing monthly Management Accounts and taking EPOS stocks into account. Ensuring each department within the Centres does a stocktake twice a year. Doing journals in SAGE each month of the stock movements.
- Preparing Cash Flow forecast.
- Balancing SAGE with Bank Account and Bank with manual books.
- VAT returns and submissions to HMRC.
- Setting up depreciations each year.
SAGE Payroll and NEST Pension
- Time sheets / sickness / absence/ holidays / pensions.
- Transmission of PAYE & NI to HMRC.
- Transmission of pensions to NEST.
Banking
- Liaise with Bank Manager / emails / meetings / providing information as required.
General
· Insurance – Keeping policies up-to-date (Business policy, Vehicles both commercial and private, Private buildings and contents policies). Dealing with and providing information for annual review, claims and inspections.
· Leases and Franchises – Invoicing for rental payments and electricity and water usage. Renewals of leases.
· Dealing with licences for Poisons, Music, TV, Alcohol etc. as required.
