As a busy independent café serving the local community, we take pride in offering high-quality coffee, great food, and friendly service. Whether it’s regular customers stopping by for their morning coffee or visitors exploring the town, you’ll play a key role in creating a warm and welcoming experience for everyone who walks through our doors.
As part of Team Wilson & Bay, you’ll craft exceptional coffee, serve food and drinks, and help create a friendly atmosphere for our customers. The role can vary day to day, from steady weekday trade to busier periods during weekends, holidays, and local events.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, works well within a team, and maintains high standards under pressure. A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach are essential.
Key Requirements:
- Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends
- Previous barista experience preferred but not essential (full training provided)
- Ability to work efficiently during busy periods
- Comfortable working in a customer-focused café environment
- Passion for delivering excellent customer service
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold drinks to a high standard
- Serve food items while maintaining quality and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation, following food safety guidelines
- Manage time effectively to meet customer demand
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately
- Work closely with team members to ensure smooth service
- Adapt to changing demand throughout the day
