The Role
You will work on a varied portfolio of Real Estate Finance and transactional property matters, with significant exposure to lender-side work.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Advising institutional lenders on property and development finance transactions
- Acting for borrowers on a range of finance matters
- Acting for lenders and borrowers on jointly represented transactions
- Advising on property development finance
- Supporting clients on acquisitions and disposals
- Handling landlord and tenant matters and wider transactional property work
- Reviewing and negotiating finance and property documentation
- Managing transactions from instruction through to completion
- Identifying and managing legal and commercial risks
- Liaising with lenders, borrowers, developers, investors and other professional advisers
- Working to tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of accuracy
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Contributing to the continued growth and development of the Real Estate Finance team
What We're Looking For
We’re looking for a motivated and commercially minded Real Estate Finance Solicitor who is confident handling transactions and understands the requirements of sophisticated lender clients.
You will ideally have:
- 2+ years' PQE
- Experience in Real Estate Finance / Property Finance
- Experience acting for institutional lenders would be highly advantageous
- Experience acting for borrowers
- Knowledge of development finance transactions
- Experience of wider transactional property matters, including sales, acquisitions and landlord & tenant work
- Investor-side experience would be advantageous
- Strong technical and drafting skills
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent client care and relationship-building abilities
- A proactive, self-motivated and commercially aware approach
