Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Bank Nursery Practitioner to join our new team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the development and well-being of young children. As a Bank Nursery Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in supporting children's learning through play and structured activities.
Duties
- Flexibility to provide support either full day or during key periods of the day (e.g. Lunch or other meal times) or during scheduled planned activities (e.g. outdoor play or park trips).
- Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 1-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Ability to plan and implement engaging activities that cater to the individual needs and interests of each key child, or, for the purposes of planned group sessions.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support the management team in maintaining a high standard of nursery practice, including health and safety and hygiene protocols.
- Work collaboratively with staff and volunteers, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Expectations and Qualifications
- Display strong skills such as proactivity, being organised, adaptable, and show attentiveness to be a highly effective member of the team.
- Have relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare (Level 2 or Level 3).
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery setting is essential.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- A genuine passion for childcare, with the ability to create a warm and welcoming environment for children.
- Willingness to journey to nearby nursery activities or outings.
