We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team at Spilsby GP Practice.

The successful candidate will work alongside our clinical team to support patients with a range of healthcare needs, ensuring they receive safe, effective, and person-centred care.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a caring approach, and the ability to work well as part of a busy multidisciplinary team. You will be organised, reliable, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
This role is suitable for an experienced Health Care Assistant with previous experience in primary care or a similar healthcare setting. Training and support will be provided for the right candidate.
Duties include:
- Undertaking clinical observations including blood pressure, pulse, height, weight, and BMI measurements
- Performing basic clinical procedures such as ECGs, phlebotomy, and other healthcare checks (training provided where required)
- Supporting clinicians with patient care and assessments
- Providing advice and reassurance to patients in a professional and compassionate manner
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records in line with practice policies and confidentiality requirements
- Following infection prevention and control procedures to maintain a safe environment
- Working collaboratively with GPs, nurses, and the wider practice team to deliver excellent patient care
- Supporting the smooth running of clinical services within the practice
Skills and experience:
- Previous experience working as a Health Care Assistant within primary care, healthcare, or a caring profession is desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work sensitively with patients from a wide range of backgrounds
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow clinical procedures and maintain accurate documentation
- A caring, professional, and approachable manner
- Ability to work independently while also contributing positively as part of a team
