We are looking for a highly skilled paint technician to work in our family run Automotive Bodyshop. The successful candidate will be required to carry out all types of vehicle body refinishing work, using appropriate methods on all makes of vehicles. The individual must be a good team player and be capable of managing their own workload as well as helping out other members of the team.
The hours will be Mon to Fri 8am-5pm plus alternate Saturdays.
Candidates must:
- have 1-5 years refurbishment or accident repair experience
- ideally be ATA qualified
- have the full range of paint spraying/preparation/finishing skills
- work to an extremely high standard
- have your own spray guns
- be able to manage your own workload and take direction
- have a ‘can do’ attitude and be highly motivated
- full clean UK driving license
- be an excellent communicator
Key responsibilities:
- prepare, spray and finish vehicles to an extremely high standard with excellent quality control
- get jobs right first time, including colour match correctness
- work to a daily work schedule keeping to timings
- work within a workshop team liaising with colleagues to ensure jobs are finished on time
- be professional at all times with customers and colleagues
- provide timely, accurate customer estimates
- work closely with the business owners and workshop manager to ensure work progresses efficiently through the workshop
- ensure equipment is used within defined safety guidelines
