Pay: £14.50–£17.50 per hour (depending on experience)Little Crafters Boxes Limited creates hands-on craft and learning resources for families and learners. We run two Wix websites (one for Little Crafters Boxes and one for LCB Education). The sites are in a good place, but they now need a focused round of improvements: tidying, updating, improving functionality, strengthening SEO, and keeping everything current through the festive period.
We also send two weekend newsletters via Wix (one for each brand) and would like support drafting and preparing these during the contract period.
This is a fixed-term temporary role ending on 18 December 2026. We may have other vacancies next year, but nothing is confirmed and this role is being recruited as a standalone fixed-term contract.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll take ownership of a clear set of work across Wix, SEO, website content and newsletters: Wix website management (two sites)
- Update and maintain two Wix websites with the latest content, products, services and learning programmes
- Improve usability and functionality: page structure, navigation, mobile layout, forms, links, and overall consistency
- Create and update key pages and seasonal content (including Christmas/Advent messaging)
- Keep a clear tracker of updates and priorities so the team has visibility
Website content & design (Canva)
- Create clean, on-brand website graphics and assets in Canva (banners, headers, tiles, simple page visuals)
- Refresh and tidy existing visuals so the sites look consistent and professional
SEO and visibility
- Improve on-page SEO across both Wix sites (page titles, headings, meta descriptions, internal linking, image optimisation, basic keyword strategy)
- Identify quick wins and a practical plan to increase visibility and traffic through the websites
- Share clear recommendations and implement agreed changes (not just a report)
Weekend newsletters (via Wix)
- Draft our two weekend newsletters (Little Crafters Boxes and LCB Education) using content from the team and website updates
- Build newsletters in Wix email tools and prepare them for approval before sending
- Use newsletters to drive traffic to key pages, seasonal offers, programmes and products
You’ll work closely with our Sales & Marketing Project Lead and our education and workshop teams to gather accurate information and keep everything up to date.What success looks likeBy mid-December, we’d expect to see:
- Cleaner, more consistent Wix websites (especially on mobile) with fewer outdated pages and broken journeys
- Stronger SEO foundations in place and clear visibility improvements underway
- Seasonal pages and calls-to-action updated and performing well
- Two weekend newsletters going out consistently, driving clicks and sales activity back to the websites
What we’re looking for
You’re likely a great fit if you:
- Have hands-on experience managing Wix websites (confident with Wix Editor and common site tasks)
- Understand practical SEO and can implement improvements
- Can create strong, clean graphics in Canva for web use
- Can write clearly and warmly for newsletters and web content
- Are organised, detail-focused, and comfortable managing lots of small updates
- Are happy working on-site and collaborating with a small team
Nice to have (not essential)
- Experience with e-commerce websites and product/service listings
- Basic understanding of conversion improvements (clear CTAs, landing pages, seasonal campaigns)
- Copywriting skills for product/service pages
Interview task (important)As part of the interview process, we’ll ask you to do a short walk-through covering:
- Your first 2 weeks plan for improving two Wix sites
- Your approach to SEO quick wins and visibility growth
- How you’d structure the two weekend newsletters to drive clicks and sales
- Examples of Wix, SEO, Canva and writing work you’ve done before (links/screenshots/portfolio)
