Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Supervisor to oversee daily operations at our construction site. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical knowledge, particularly in electrical systems, and a commitment to safety and quality standards. The Site Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating activities, managing personnel, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily site activities, ensuring work progresses according to schedule and specifications.
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems on-site.
- Manage site personnel, including subcontractors and labourers, fostering a productive and safe working environment.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce health and safety policies to minimise risks.
- Liaise with project managers, clients, and suppliers to ensure smooth communication and timely delivery of materials and services.
- Monitor progress against project timelines, identifying potential delays or issues early and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and safety incidents for reporting purposes.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies throughout the project lifecycle.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction site supervision or a similar role within the building industry.
- Strong electrical experience is highly desirable; candidates with relevant electrical qualifications or background will be preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable to construction sites in the UK.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently under pressure.
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members, clients, and external stakeholders.
