VS Carpentry and Building Ltd is looking for experienced Fire Door Installers to join our growing team. We have immediate work available across west London, Harrow, Ruislip, Uxbridge, Hayes, Reading, Guildford, Oxford, Banbury, Staines, and surrounding areas.

The Role
You will be responsible for the installation of fire doors in accordance with current British Standards, manufacturer guidance, and project specifications. Work includes installations within schools, residential properties, healthcare buildings, and commercial premises.
Essential Requirements
- Must be willing to travel
- Proven experience installing fire doors
- Good understanding of current fire door installation standards
- Own tools suitable for the role
- Full UK driving licence
- Own vehicle or van (required whilst self-employed)
- Ability to work independently and maintain a high standard of workmanship
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude
- CSCS CARD
- NVQ Level 2 or above in Carpentry & Joinery
Preferred (but not essential)
- Enhanced DBS Certificate
- Asbestos Awareness Certificate
Your First Week
All new starters begin on a day rate during their first week. This allows us to assess your workmanship, quality, productivity, and understanding of our installation standards before offering price work where appropriate.
Prior to starting, you will receive a Starter Pack containing our self-employment agreement, company policies, and a full breakdown of your responsibilities and expectations. These documents must be read and signed before commencing work.
