The Role
As a Mobile Phone Repair Technician & Customer Service Advisor, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of our busy repair centre. You will diagnose and repair customer devices, assist customers in-store and over the phone, create online listings, help with social media content and ensure the shop maintains its excellent reputation.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mobile phones, tablets, laptops and games consoles.
- Replace screens, batteries, charging ports, cameras and other components.
- Diagnose hardware and software faults.
- Book customer devices into our repair management system.
- Keep customers updated throughout the repair process.
- Answer telephone, email and in-store enquiries.
- Sell mobile phones, accessories, refurbished devices and repair services.
- Create and manage eBay listings, including writing descriptions and uploading photographs.
- Assist with social media content for Facebook, Instagram and other platforms.
- Use computer systems confidently, including repair software, Microsoft Office and online marketplaces.
- Process cash and card payments.
- Maintain accurate repair records.
- Keep the workshop and retail area clean, organised and safe.
- Work as part of a friendly team to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures at all times.
Essential Requirements
- At least one year's mobile phone repair experience is preferred, although applicants with basic repair experience and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
- Good general computer skills and confidence using Windows and online systems.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Previous retail or customer-facing experience.
- Ability to diagnose common hardware and software faults.
- Reliable, trustworthy and punctual.
- Well organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
Desirable Skills
- Experience repairing iPhone, Samsung, Google Pixel and other Android devices.
- Experience repairing laptops, tablets and games consoles.
- Experience with soldering or board-level repairs (an advantage but not essential).
- Experience using eBay Seller Hub or other online selling platforms.
- Experience creating social media posts for businesses.
- Experience using repair management or EPOS software.
- Full UK driving licence (preferred).

Working Hours
- 40 hours per week.
- Monday to Friday.
- Some Saturday working on a rota.
- 8-hour shifts.
