Salary: £19.98 Per Hour - overtime available at 1.5x

We are looking for an experienced Workshop Team Leader with Fabrication experience to help oversee
production within a busy manufacturing environment. You will assist in leading and developing a team of
welders and assembly operative, work confidently from technical drawings, manage production schedules,
and maintain high standards of quality, health and safety. This role suits a proactive, organised leader with
strong communication skills, a solutions-focused mindset, and the ability to motivate others while managing changing priorities.

Job Duties:
- Cut and fabricate steel accurately in line with technical drawings and cutting lists
- Promote and positive health and safety culture and support senior staff by developing and maintaining best practice.
- Assemble & fit handrails and other products in line with company orders
- Complete paperwork accurately for compliance purposes
- Using hand and power tools
- Assist in the day-to-day running of the department
- Monitor production and ensure orders are completed on time and communicating with adjustment in schedules need to be made
- Assist in the training and development of staff
- Assist with recruitment
- Recommend, implement and develop innovative ways of working to increase productivity and
quality
What we are looking for:
- Previous Fabrication/Welding experience is desirable for the position
- Experience working in a production/manufacturing environment producing high-quality products, working with technical drawings and managing production schedules
- Experience of leading a team and overseeing a department in a manufacturing environment
- Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate, coach and inspire others, while maintaining fairness, professionalism, and accountability across the team.
- Excellent communication skills, good attention to detail and be able to prioritise effectively.
- Organised and adaptable, able to manage changing priorities, production pressures, and tight deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Good knowledge of MS packages including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Able to demonstrate integrity, reliability, and a strong work ethic, leading by example and promoting a collaborative, respectful team culture.
