Overview
We are seeking an experienced, dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Cook and all rounder to join our vibrant team. As a Cafe Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service while enjoying their food and beverages. This position requires a passion for food, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Applicant must be able to work unattended.
Duties
- Prepare and cook our menu, ensuring all items are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Help maintain cleanliness and organisation within the cafe, including dining areas, kitchen spaces, and equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders accurately and efficiently while engaging with customers in a friendly manner.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Support team members as needed, contributing to a collaborative work environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience cooking within a cafe or restaurant is essential
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing orders effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable.
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently in a busy setting.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and help others on the team.
