Join the Close Brothers Finance Team where you will support the Head of External Reporting and Accounting Policy and Senior Technical Accounting Manager in the group’s external reporting including the annual and interim reports and Finrep, provision of technical accounting advice and implementation of accounting and regulatory changes.
Working as part of the Finance team our ideal team member will have previous experience in replying to audit requests and participating in communication with auditors with excellent relationship building skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Preparation of the group financial statements at year end and half year in Workiva

Provide end to end support on the audit process, assist in managing the audit relationship and action audit requests and challenges

Ownership of the quarterly Finrep reporting process, including monitoring and communicating changes in PRA requirements, managing the group timetable, consolidating divisional returns and submission to the PRA

Manage inter departmental partnership and encourage teamwork

Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external advisors

Facilitate cross functional and divisional working relationships

Ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the regulatory bodies are carried out to the standards required
WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE:

ACA or equivalent

Experience of financial reporting and technical accounting
IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE:

PQE experience

A strong audit and / or technical accounting background in financial services

Strong knowledge of a broad range of IFRS standards, particularly IFRS 9
