Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Picking Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. Responsibilities
- Use forklifts and other warehouse equipment to load, unload, and transport materials safely within the facility
- Operate warehouse management systems to pick, pack, and verify order accuracy
- Select items from storage locations based on order requirements with precision and attention to detail
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes by preparing goods for dispatch or receipt
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to proper handling procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily productivity goals and resolve any logistical issues promptly
Skills
- Valid forklift certification with proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting
- Prior warehouse experience, including familiarity with inventory management systems
- Strong understanding of materials handling techniques and safety protocols
- Mechanical knowledge useful for troubleshooting minor equipment issues
- Experience with shipping & receiving processes, including load & unload procedures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods
- Construction or industrial experience is a plus, demonstrating physical stamina and adaptability
