Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support dentists during procedures, ensure patient comfort, and maintain high standards of hygiene and organisation within the clinic. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about patient care and looking to develop their career in dental nursing. The position is paid and suitable for both experienced professionals and those undertaking internships in dental nursing.
Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilise instruments, and maintain a clean environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Provide pre- and post-treatment care instructions to patients
- Manage patient records accurately using IT systems, ensuring confidentiality at all times
- Support patients by offering reassurance, answering questions, and providing excellent customer service
- Organise appointments efficiently to optimise clinic operations
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain high standards of hygiene throughout the practice
Requirements
- Proven experience in patient care within a healthcare setting is desirable
- Good command of English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with patients and team members
- Basic knowledge of nursing principles relevant to dental care
- Competent IT skills for managing patient records and appointment scheduling
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to reassure and educate patients
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
- A recognized qualification in dental nursing.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Must have good knowledge in HTM04 infection control.
- Must have DBS checked within 3 years
- Must have up to date vaccinations and Hepatitis Immunity.
- Must be GDC registered and up to date with CPD and Basic Life support.

Pay: £12.21-£15.00 per hour
