About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join our committed team. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching and learning for pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping every child to achieve their full potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
- Develop and implement personalised learning programmes and interventions.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, parents, and external agencies.
- Monitor and report on pupil progress, setting appropriate targets and outcomes.
- Support pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development.
- Contribute to Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) reviews and annual reviews where appropriate.
- Promote positive behaviour and wellbeing throughout the school.
Person SpecificationEssential
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England (or recognised equivalent).
- Experience teaching children or young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
- Strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices and differentiation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Desirable
- National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or willingness to undertake relevant professional development.
- Experience supporting pupils with autism spectrum condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, or complex learning difficulties.
- Knowledge of EHCP processes and statutory requirements.
- Experience in a specialist SEN school or resource provision.
