We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a enthusiastic bank cook . This role is essential in ensuring the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals while adhering to food safety standards. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and menu specifications
- Must be aware of special requirements in consistency of foods etc.
- Ensure all food is prepared with attention to detail and presented attractively
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen
- Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients
- Implement new menus along with other catering personnel
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages or issues
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a nursing home essential.
- Proven experience in food preparation or cooking within a professional kitchen setting
- Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking techniques
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality standards
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- A team player with strong communication skills
