Overview
Experienced sewing machinist invited to work within a small friendly team in a very low pressure environment. Our main focus is on quality and not quantity. Hours and days are flexible, we work a 4 day week, Monday to Thursday and we are looking for a minimum of 12 hours per week up to a maximum of 38 hours. Start times can be varied from 6.00 am up to 11.00am. Breaks are paid breaks. We don’t often have vacancies available as our colleagues tend to stay with us for many years, our supervisor has been here over 25 years, testament to the relaxed atmosphere we have in our dedicated centrally heated sewing room. We have a very friendly dog who likes to wander about and you are welcome to pet her whenever you want to. A buttie van visits every day and there is a new café opening on site. Multi taskers who can chat, laugh and work at the same time are very welcome. Don’t be shy, you are very welcome to call for a chat, or to visit to see what we are about.
Responsibilities
- All work is carried out on flatbed machines.
- Must be fully conversant with the operation of the machine.
- Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Maintain a clean and tidy workspace.
- Willingness to learn.
- A broad range of experience is preferred.
- Flexible hours, any work period between 6.00am and 4pm.
- Minimum 12 hours up to a maximum of 38 hours.
